Hello La Pine, my name is Gracie Elizabeth Looney. I have lived in La Pine for seventeen years and take pride in the betterment of our community culture and connection. My mother Shasta and my father Jaron were raised in La Pine. My mother created a life centered around the best parts of our town for me, and my bother Deakon. My childhood was filled with a variety of activities such as community events, drawing, hunting, modeling, and even some rodeo.
I am a senior at La Pine High School and will be attending George Fox University next year to study graphic design and illustration while at the same time throwing discus for their track and field program. Along with being a student at La Pine High School, I am a two-sport athlete. I was a part of the La Pine volleyball team as a captain and am currently throwing discus on the track and field team.
I have been involved in the La Pine community progression in many ways, such as being the Midstate Electric 2023 NRECA Youth Tour representative in Washington DC; being elected as the La Pine High School Student body President, and LPHS leadership member.
I strive to push myself not with only my future in mind, but to better the world around me as I go. After attending George Fox University in Newburg, I plan to pursue my artistic abilities and become a graphic designer remotely for some form of non-profit children’s group.
I have been greatly blessed by God throughout my high school career and plan to continue to make a difference in La Pine, and wherever I may go. Thank you for your support of your La Pine students and the La Pine Frontier days.
