2023 Miss La Pine Frontier Days

Hello La Pine! My name is Maddisen Russell. I moved to La Pine when I was 7 years old and it is one of the best things that could have happened to me. Living here provided me with a close community and many opportunities to grow, and receive help. Without the help of the people here, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Frontier Days has always been something that my friends and I look forward to every year! I have so many enjoyable memories of Frontier Days.

I’ve been cheering for La Pine High School for 4 years and I can say it has been the best experience of my high school years. Stunting and cheering for other sports with the other girls, and the bonds I have made with my teammates have been unforgettable. Raising money to send the cheerleaders to stunting camps is very important to me and I hope to continue to help out even when I have moved on to bigger things. Throughout high school, sports and clubs have been my outlet. Sports have helped me tremendously.

In fall of 2023 I will be attending Western Oregon University as a cheerleader on their competitive cheer team. I will be majoring in Biology and I hope to find my path from there. Though leaving my small town family is hard, I am happy that fate led me to them. I’m grateful for everything they have done for me.
