2024 Miss La Pine Frontier Days

Briana Ramirez

Coming from 4 generations of military service (and all in the US Army), it is no surprise that Briana continued with this tradition and joined the Army Reserves at 17 years of age. She attended basic combat training during the summer of 2023. She sees this action as a way to continue the family tradition, but also to ensure the security of her own future. She has also participated in the LPHS NJROTC program since sophomore year, and subse-quently was chosen as the unit Commanding Officer. She provides guidance and mentorship to cadets, while overseeing all aspects of unit operations. She is certainly setting herself up to obtain her lifelong dream of becoming a commissioned office in the US Army, and serving in the medical field. She plans on attending OSU Cascades in the fall.

All this while playing in a varie-ty of LPHS sports teams such as soccer, wrestling, softball and cross country … AND a mem-ber of the LPHS National Honor Society. With the NJROTC she has volunteered for local events such as the Annual Crab Feed, Frontier Days Parking, and helping with the veterans during the 4th of July and Veterans’ Day Parades. She also helps out at the La Pine Community Kitchen, helping neigh-bors, doing nature clean-ups, and helping with blood drives at the school. She hales from Tucson, Arizona, and appreciates La Pine’s “Small Town” feel and experience that shines through , particularly with our Frontier Days and Rodeo events. We are very pleased to have her as our Miss Frontier Days Scholarship recipient for 2024; we feel she will be an amazing ambassador for our organization as well as our community!
