La Pine Frontier Days Home Brew Contest 2026
The La Pine Frontier Days Home Brew Contest is back for 2026 as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of La Pine Frontier Days! On Thursday, July 2, home brewers from across the region will gather at the Midway contest tent to compete in one of Central Oregon’s most popular beer, cider, and mead events. Whether you brew lagers, IPAs, porters, stouts, specialty beers, ciders, or meads, this is your chance to showcase your best home-brewed creations.
Event Schedule
- Check-in: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
- Judging: 2:30 PM
- Public Tasting: 3:00 PM onward
Bring two bottles of the same brew (10–20 oz glass or plastic bottles) and attach the provided entry labels. The contest uses blind tasting, so judges won’t know who brewed what — it’s all about the quality of your beer, cider, or mead. The public tasting that follows gives everyone a chance to sample the entries and cheer on their favorites.
Entry Information
- Open to home brewers 21 and older only.
- Only home-brewed beer, cider, or mead accepted (no wine or commercially brewed entries).
- Two identical bottles per entry required.
- Soft drink-style caps must be blacked out for anonymity.
Entrants must sign a standard liability waiver and are responsible for their own actions during the event. Full rules and the official application are available on this site or at the contest tent.
