The Most Patriotic Way to Kick Off the 4th!
Lace up those sneakers and get ready to run, jog, or stroll your way into the history books at the 25th Annual La Pine Frontier Days Fun Run!
On Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting at 8:00 AM, the whole town is invited to celebrate our 50th anniversary and America’s big 250th with some good old-fashioned movement and smiles.
Here’s the lineup:
- Kids 6–10 years: 1-Mile Fun Run at 8:00 AM
- Youth & Adults: 5K Run at 8:30 AM
- Walkers: Under 30 / Over 30 categories (because walking with friends counts too!)
Ribbons for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in every category — yes, even the walkers get to shine!
Entry: Just $10 per person ($30 max per family). Every dollar goes straight to the LPHS Cross-Country Team — so you’re not just having fun, you’re helping our local athletes too!
Whether you’re sprinting for glory, power-walking with the family, or chasing your kids with a stroller, this is the friendliest 4th of July run in Central Oregon. No pressure, just pure hometown pride, fresh air, and that post-race “I did it!” glow.
Pro tip: Bring the whole crew, wear your red-white-and-blue, and stick around for the parade and fireworks afterward — because the Fun Run is just the warm-up for the best day of the year!
