2024 La Pine Frontier Days

Greetings! We are very excited … the planned Rendezvous Village will be a reality this year! The efforts of a small group of volunteers is going to result in a true village made up of native American and mountain man traders. We anticipate more than 10 tipis, that will be interpretive areas with crafts and storytelling, AND drumming & dancing! The activities will be going on into the evening hours all 4 days … plan on coming down to the Frontier Days all 4 days to see it all!

Every year we try to add to the assortment of “kids games”! Last year’s Stick Pony Rides put on by the Central Oregon Endurance Riders were a total hit with the kiddos and they will be back with an even better ride through our “woods”. Melissa and the 2nd Hand Ranch crew will be back with the best “petting zoo” in Central Oregon. The Little Deschutes Grange folks have re-worked their “Mini Midway” Games “for kids only”. And let’s not forget the always hugely popular Kid’s Fish Pond and the Kiddie Train!

The entertainment this year brings some of our favorites like The Armadillos and the Highway 97 Band (the night of the 4th) … the amazing Precious Byrd is coming back for Monday the 3rd, with the lead-in music coming from the always popular Justusworx Saturday night the 1st brings a new group to Frontier Days, but not new to Central Oregon … Victory Swig will bring their unique sounds, with our very own Newberry Family Band starting off the evening entertainment. Bring your boots for dancing on Sunday, the 2nd, with the high energy Dry Canyon Stampede, (no rain allowed this year!) and the amazing Rachel Wilson and Wampus Cat starting off the evening!

Remember … Frontier Days is always FREE .. because we have wonderful sponsors and contributors! Be sure to say THANK YOU!

Happy 4th of July 2024!
